Que jogo e este?

Fiquei muito curiosa sobre este jogo que estava exposto na ilha, mas a unica informacao que consegui com uma pessoa que trabalha por la foi que deveria ser da Idade Media. Aproveitando minha estadia em Londres e nosso contato com Dr. Irving Finkel, especialista em jogos e curador do Museu Britanico, no departamento de Antiguidades Asiaticas, pedi para observar a foto e fazer alguns comentarios sobre este misterioso jogo. A seguir, sua opiniao: This photograph is very tantalising because it raises important questions that need to be investigated. The form of the stone certainly suggests that the design scratched on the surface represents a gaming board. If this is really the case the problem is an interesting one because it implies a board [plan of 7 (+) x (?) squares. The first two rows exhibit a pattern of every other square marked by a cross-cut square laid out in such a way that similar squares are not adjacent; the third row surviving row is plain. At first glance the board is most closely related to certain Roman duodecim scripta boards since some specimens do exhibit cross-cut squares (e.g. the board from Zurich in the F. May Marseiiles exhibition catalogue) . The board is described as having a design on the other side (not seen by the blogger); herebut if the idea proposed  is correct the object would imply Roman presence on Lundy Island.
